Job Summary The Senior Product Analyst will produce and interpret standard reports for division use and analyze past trends to be predictive of future business performance. Responsible for review and analysis of the company’s product pricing and book of business performance, compared to competitors in the marketplace. Assist Product Management in data gathering and analysis to develop pricing and product development options to meet competitive opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Produce ongoing and new monthly reports, including ad hoc reports

Use querying tools such as cubes and SQL to gather and analyze data

Fulfill data / reporting requests and support other departments as appropriate

Create reports that track state results and highlight areas of opportunity

Support Product Managers with various data, model and revision requests as needed

Assist Product Managers with quoting, competitor, and market basket analysis

Assist with creating filings and supporting actuarial exhibits

Monitor all correspondence and assist with any objections

Research competitor information and analyze the impact on our business

Research changes in the regulatory environment of the states

Analyze internal and external data to help identify opportunities and evaluate the business as it relates to the company

Review operational and customer service trends and document improvement action plans as needed

Job Qualifications Formal Education & Certification

Undergraduate College Degree in STEM, Business or Finance.

Knowledge & Experience

2+ years’ experience in a data analyst-type role.

Expert proficiency in Excel.

Advanced proficiency working with technical data tools like SAS, SQL, and/or R.

General P&C insurance background (auto preferred).

Skills & Competencies

Must be able to work in a fast‑paced automated production environment.

Must employ excellent communication/interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to work well with others.

Demonstrated team building and coordination skills.

Excellent PC skills are required.

Advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills.

The ability to independently perform ad hoc analyses.
