
Aquatics Director

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Aquatics Director is responsible for the safety and well‑being of the pool and the participants in the swim team program effectively and courteously, enforcing all pool rules, regulations, and policies. At least 21 years of age with 2 years of related experience. YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor Trainer or be able to obtain in the first 6 months of employment. YMCA Swim Instructor certification, or equivalent. CPR/First Aid Instructor or be able to obtain in the first 6 months of employment. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications required. Have a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or be able to obtain in the first 6 months of employment (Preferred). LGI (Lifeguard Instructor) certification or be able to obtain in the first six months of employment. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent written communication skills. Proven verbal communication skills that impact human relations at all levels of responsibility, strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experienced teambuilding, programming, and project management skills. Ability to take initiative, be flexible, use sound judgment, and work harmoniously with others.
