Business Relationship Manager – Business Banking
Customer focused, enjoy building relationships and providing financial advice to your clients. In this role you will improve the lives of our clients and the well‑being of their businesses through financial solutions, education, and advice.
Job Responsibilities
Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 100‑130 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million across assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000.
Deliver an outstanding client experience by providing comprehensive and customized banking solutions tailored to each business’s financial needs.
Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to recommend and promote solutions that best serve the client and ensure portfolio profitability.
Conduct regular in‑person calls with prospects, centers of influence, and existing clients at their places of business, following a disciplined relationship‑development process and adjusting strategies in consultation with the manager.
Identify and pursue potential new business clients and cultivate long‑term primary banking relationships.
Identify clients’ personal financial goals and collaborate across lines of business (wealth management, home lending, branch teams) to connect clients with specialists.
Provide leadership by actively supporting assigned branches and protecting the firm through sound risk‑management protocols and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending role.
General business experience and knowledge of business credit, core products, and industry‑specific business practices.
Strong communication skills at all levels and ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners.
Ability to balance client needs with risks and firm interests, and know when to elevate or handle issues independently.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize daily tasks, own client problems, and follow through with commitment.
High proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Strong current business network.
