Job Description
In this role, the Business Banking Officer proactively pursues sales within the Small Business Segment by building relationships with existing and potential clients to help them reach their financial goals. The Business Banker also uses credit analysis skills to grow the portfolio and conducts due diligence to maintain compliance with standards, policies, and procedures. Compensation The annual salary range for this role is $47,195 – 84,406 per year, commensurate with experience, plus sales incentives.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary).
Responsibilities Proactively pursue sales within the Small Business Segment by building relationships with existing and potential clients, using credit analysis to grow the portfolio, and maintaining compliance and policy standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience (required).
Post‑baccalaureate degree (desirable).
Completion of Business/Commercial Banking Associates program or related experience.
Ability to read financial statements and understand basic accounting concepts.
3+ years of banking or related industry experience with financial analysis and credit skills.
Strong planning, organizing, and budgeting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Judicious handling of confidential matters.
Attention to detail and follow‑through.
Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
Effective time management.
Sales skills and ability to enhance business development objectives.
Ability to inform, persuade, and convince customers of product value.
Knowledge of financial service products.
