D.R. Horton is currently looking for an Assistant Superintendent. The right candidate will assist the Superintendent in managing the community job site, ensuring quality construction, cost control, and excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect each home daily to assure quality workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications, and determine status relative to the production schedule. Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors. Walk each completed home before the homeowner walk‑through and closing sign‑off to ensure the home is complete, clean, and meets quality standards; note outstanding items and schedule repairs. Conduct homeowner orientation and any additional walks to ensure homeowner satisfaction. Aid the Superintendent to manage subcontractors and evaluate them on quality, safety, scheduling and cost control measures. Enforce the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Enforce D.R. Horton cleanliness standards – ensure communities and job sites are free of trash and waste materials. Assist the Superintendent in managing construction materials to prevent damage, waste, and theft. Support the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budget. Provide a superior level of customer service during all phases of construction. Develop and maintain positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners. Develop knowledge of building codes, construction materials, methodologies, terminology, and construction scheduling. In the absence of the Superintendent, ensure all schedules, policies, and guidelines are maintained. Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company. Work overtime and additional hours as necessary to meet business needs. Qualifications

Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six months to 2 years of related experience. Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive among construction sites during daytime and nighttime. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to customer satisfaction. Ability to read plans and other construction documents. Minimum supervision required and ability to create systematic approaches in carrying out assignments. Capability to converse with customers, all levels of management, and personnel. Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Proficiency with MS Office and email. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college preferred. Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure situations. Benefits
