Job Overview The Faena Housekeeping Assistant Director manages the day-to-day operations of Housekeeping, overseeing all aspects of a 24-hour housekeeping operation. This position provides leadership and direction to the office coordinator, housemen, public areas, room attendants, turndown attendants, supervisors and butlers. The role supports the Housekeeping Director with operational and administrative duties and liaises with the Front Office and other teams to create lasting memories for all Faena guests.

Duties And Responsibilities

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.

Maintain positive resident and guest relations at all times.

Assist with resolution of resident and guest complaints, ensuring follow‑through and satisfaction.

Responsible for the hiring, training and direction of new department employees.

Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenue while maintaining high guest expectations.

Manage the daily operations of Housekeeping, Faena Butlers, Valet and the Uniform room.

Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and financial planning of the departments.

Manage recruitment, training and development of staff, ensuring productivity, guest satisfaction and high staff morale.

Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.

Manage operating expenses to maximize profits.

Conduct monthly supply, linen and uniform inventories to ensure accurate management of resources.

Coordinate department activities with other departments to facilitate increased communication and guest satisfaction.

Bear ultimate responsibility for monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.

Oversee divisional matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.

3 to 5 years of experience as Housekeeping Director.

Fluency in English, both verbally and non-verbally.
