Sandstone of Tucson is seeking an experienced, adaptable, and forward-thinking Human Resources Director to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a dynamic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about supporting both staff and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and Workers’ Compensation claims
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to promote a safe environment for staff and residents
Oversee the Reception Team to ensure smooth front-line operations and a positive guest experience
Drive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals while adapting to evolving healthcare needs
Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and staff on HR policies, best practices, and workforce development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Proven HR leadership experience, ideally within healthcare or long-term care
Strong knowledge of payroll, Workers’ Compensation, employment law, and compliance
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and discretion
Experience overseeing administrative or front-line teams (Reception, Office Staff, etc.)
