Fellowship of Oakbrook, Summerville, South Carolina, is in search of a senior pastor.

The Fellowship of Oakbrook is a multi-generational congregation committed to fulfilling the Great Commission and living out the Great Commandment by personally knowing and sharing the life‑changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. We are an Elder‑led Southern Baptist church family that shares the love of Christ with those in our community, state, nation and world through ministry and missions. We are seeking a full‑time visionary, Bible‑teaching, mission‑minded Pastor who will shepherd our congregation through discipleship and relationships, continually seeking and following God’s will and plan for our church, and leading our church family in effectively reaching one of the fastest growing communities in the Southeast.

Desired Qualifications

Possess the Biblical qualities described in 1 Timothy 3:2‑7

Must be ordained as a Pastor, preferably by a Southern Baptist Church.

Believe and adhere to the statements of faith in The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Master of Divinity degree or equivalent, preferably from a Southern Baptist seminary.

Prefer minimum of 5‑10 years ministerial experience with 3‑5 years as a lead pastor.

Must be a visionary and constructive leader with a shepherd’s heart.

Must be an effective communicator.

Must have a passion for ministry and a heart for people.

Must be able to pass a criminal and financial background check.

The pastor shall have the ability, maturity and education to meet the needs of the church body. The senior pastor’s personal and family life should reflect Christian character and support the spiritual witness of the church. The pastor and his believing household must unite with FOO as members.
