Responsibilities
Manages timeliness and accuracy of reporting by facilities: Manual Census, timely collection of private pay and resident liability and documentation of collection efforts. Ensures collection policies and procedures are followed at all facilities.
Acts as corporate liaison/regional resource responsible for Social Security audits. Ensures internal controls are in place at all facilities such as providing guidance and support with SSA audit requests and ensuring timeliness of audit document submissions.
Develops and maintains relationships with Medicaid case workers and local social security officials.
Provides support, direction, oversight, evaluates and educates multiple facility Business Office Managers according to policies and procedures.
Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare business office/billing, preferably for a skilled nursing facility, or central billing office.
A preference for a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field and/or experience in Medicaid and collections.
Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills with the ability to quickly adopt existing and new company applications.
