ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a curious, tech-forward recent graduate to join our revenue and audience growth teams across two distinct but dynamic media brands, Sightline Media Group (Defense News, Military Times) and Sunset, the iconic Western lifestyle brand. This is a rare opportunity to learn the business of modern media from the inside, working at the intersection of sales intelligence, audience development, and emerging AI tools.
This role doesn’t require prior industry experience; it requires drive, adaptability, and a genuine interest in how technology is reshaping marketing and media.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Sales Prospecting & Intelligence
Use tools like ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and AI-powered platforms to identify and research prospective advertising and sponsorship partners
Build and maintain prospect lists across both consumer lifestyle and defense/government verticals
Support sales teams with research, outreach drafts, and pipeline tracking
Help identify competitive ad gaps and surface new business opportunities
Audience Acquisition & Subscription Growth
Support newsletter, magazine, and digital subscription growth campaigns across both brands through Sailthru and Clavio
Assist with lead generation strategies targeting qualified audiences
Help monitor campaign performance and surface insights that inform acquisition tactics
Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to align audience development efforts
AI & Technology
Actively learn and apply AI tools to streamline prospecting, outreach copy, and audience research workflows
Stay current on emerging marketing and media technology and bring ideas to the team
WHO YOU ARE
Recent college graduate with a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
Genuinely curious about AI and enthusiastic about using technology to work smarter
Strong written communicator, you can draft a clean email and synthesize research clearly
Comfortable learning new tools quickly; experience with ZoomInfo, HubSpot, or similar platforms is a plus but not required
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams across different brands
Interested in media, publishing, or the defense/military space (or both!)
WHY THIS ROLE You’ll get real exposure to both B2C lifestyle media and B2B defense publishing, two very different worlds with a lot to teach. You’ll work with seasoned sales and editorial teams while building a modern toolkit in AI-assisted prospecting and audience development.
