R_344205 - Global Client Relationship Lead Marsh Risk's Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) practice advises clients on risk and insurance across the full cycle of their M&A transactions. We are seeking a talented individual to join the PEMA team, working directly with the Global Chairman of the PEMA practice.

Mergers, acquisitions, and divestments are among the riskiest and most complex business transactions. Our global PEMA team has been advising clients on evaluating and managing deal-related risks, as well as optimising risk & insurance frameworks across their portfolio companies, for over two decades. We can help buyers differentiate their bids and sellers exit with minimal risk exposure.

We will count on you to:

Be a seasoned client executive and business development expert, with a skillset spanning the sales value chain - from initial client dialogue through to execution and delivery - with a specific focus on issues-driven selling as opposed to a product-led sales approach

Supports the Global Chairman of the Marsh Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) practice and the Global PEMA Managing Director in growing Marsh's book of business across a wide range of industry sectors

Understands the business challenges and priorities of clients and prospects, connecting these back to Marsh solutions, and shaping a narrative to resonate at the C-Suite level with clients

Leads on the delivery of Marsh services to clients following sales dialogues, by engaging with Marsh teams globally to execute to client requirements

Acts as a senior level of oversight for key clients - ensuring that local Marsh teams are delivering to requirements, and steps in to address any issues or road blocks

Able to build a strong internal Marsh network, with the credibility to bring colleagues from across the firm to the table for client dialogues

Acts as a point of escalation for highly complex issues and works to resolve problems efficiently

Must be at ease in engaging with C-Suite leaders in formal (meeting), casual (lunch / dinner) or crowd-based (conferences, other similar events) settings

In addition to driving client dialogues, must be willing and able to build client presentations, research reports and engage in various Marsh tools and processes (MPower etc.) as required to ensure that all opportunities are fully reflected in the relevant Marsh reporting systems

In addition to driving early-stage dialogues across a swathe of clients, take on direct day-to-day client executive responsibilities for a selected set of clients

What you need to have:

An understanding of insurance broking and placement

Must have the ambition, passion and burning desire to develop client relationships, build opportunities for Marsh, and close deals

Holds the gravitas and ability to lead & drive client conversation at the C-Suite level

Must be willing to travel as required

Must be comfortable as an individual contributor in all levels of activity - from CEO-level meetings to the creation of PowerPoint documents and Excel models as required

The willingness and ability to travel internationally extensively, at times on short notice

What makes you stand out?

Track record of success in issues-driven selling

The ability to rapidly position themselves as a advisor and strategic coach to clients, rather than simply a transactional service provider

The ability to coalesce Marsh-wide teams around individual client opportunities, ensuring wide and cohesive representation across the firm

Broad-based insurance knowledge and experience across a broad range of risk classes and focus areas

Why join our team:

You will have the benefit of working directly with some of Marsh's most complex and challenging clients, in time-pressured environments.

You will be exposed to seniormost leaders - Founders, Presidents, CEOs and the wider C-Suite - at our clients and prospects

We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
