Senior Executive Communications Leader, Partner Strategy & Engagement

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic messaging programs that resonate with technical audiences and business owners, promote engagement, and address customer needs with value‑driven communications about AWS products and partner solutions.
Create business and technical narratives to acquire and grow customers and partners by articulating the technical differentiation and value proposition of our services and partner programs.
Craft a multi‑year business development strategy to build lighthouse case studies with partners that highlight our ability to deliver deep expertise to customers through specialists and partners, driving revenue growth in line with our strategic priorities.
Coordinate end‑to‑end management of external engagements, including industry, customer, partner and thought‑leadership events, and use these events to gather feedback to improve our offerings.
Set quality benchmarks across AWS organizations with high‑caliber content, serving as a valued resource that elevates technical understanding enterprise‑wide.
Work directly with Specialist and Partner leadership and serve as a leader for the ASP’s Strategic Communications team on messaging our strategic value proposition both internally and externally.
Engage senior executives and industry thought leaders, driving adoption of Amazon's technology solutions and services.
Manage a team of executive communication managers who prepare executives for speaking engagements, create global meeting content, manage internal communications, write video scripts, and develop social‑media strategy and execution.
Collaborate with AWS PR, Marketing and Subject Matter Expert teams to align on communication strategies and messaging.
Create thought‑leadership programs for the ASP leader to promote business value from partnering with AWS.
Measure and share results of speaking engagements to evaluate impact.
Conduct research and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for enhancing executive communications.
Provide guidance and support to executives during high‑pressure situations and ensure timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of professional communications, public relations, or public affairs experience.
Experience in a business‑to‑business (B2B) environment with high‑tech products or services.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or business.
Experience working with enterprises on developing joint messaging and thought leadership.
Experience developing technical content for diverse, large‑scale audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross‑functional teams across geographies and business units.
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view on complicated issues in crisp, concise communication.
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
