Job Overview The Property Director of Hotel Technology is the strategic and tactical lead for all guest facing and back of house technology systems at the Hilton Denver City Center. This role requires a blend of hands on help desk, technical troubleshooting, and a deep understanding of Hilton's brand standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel's "digital plumbing" is seamless, secure, and supportive of a world-class guest experience in the heart of downtown Denver. This individual is responsible for proactive oversight of complex, often aged, hospitality IT environments, technical communication with vendors, and non-technical communication with home office and hotel leadership, as well as hotel owners.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

Property Management Systems (PMS):

Oversee the stability and performance of OnQ\PEP and integrated third‑party platforms.

Network Operations:

Manage onsite server environments, LAN/WAN connectivity, and work with partners for guest/meeting space Wi‑Fi (HSIA) to ensure optimal uptime.

Cybersecurity:

Implement and audit PCI compliance protocols, data privacy standards, and Hilton corporate security mandates.

Telecommunications:

Manage PBX systems, VoIP, and mobile communication tools for staff.

Guest Experience Innovation

Digital Key & Mobile Check‑in:

Ensure hardware (locks/BLE readers) and software are perfectly synchronized for the Hilton Honors digital experience.

In‑Room Tech:

Oversee Connected Room, streaming services, and guestroom automation systems.

Meeting & Event Support:

Partner with the Event AV teams to provide high‑level technical consultation and support for large‑scale conferences and VIP events.

Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight

Capital Planning (CAPEX):

Work with Sage Property Technology Team to develop and manage the annual technology budget; provide 3‑to‑5‑year hardware refresh roadmaps.

Vendor Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for technology vendors, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and costs are optimized. Provide escalation and tracking of issue solutions.

Support hotel IT needs as necessary

Develop business forecasts to account for standard hardware lifecycles and/or Hilton refreshes

Develop and maintain process and support documents

Work with Sage corporate team on project management and documentation

Maintain a working knowledge of Brand IT requirements and update stakeholders accordingly

Other Responsibilities

All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications Position Qualifications Education / Formal Training

Associates/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Technology or Hotel related Certifications are a plus

Experience

2‑3 years’ experience in hospitality with an interest in either hotel operations or technology either at a property or corporate environment

Knowledge / Skills

Ability to communicate technical topics to non‑technical IT stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Understand and implement brand standards defined by Hilton

High touch, proactive customer service mentality

Maintain supportable, organized, and documented IT environments

Ability to learn and deploy new technologies quickly and adapt technical solutions to changing business needs

Occasional after‑hours and weekend support

Excellent hearing required for telephone inquiries and client and associate handling.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing, Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel and building locations to assist clients.

Exerting 10-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.

Requires sitting most of the time, but does entail walking, standing and carrying of up to 15 pounds short distances.

Requires a significant amount of repetitive motion for keyboarding.

Environment

95% Office environment

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
