Job Summary Cranberry Park at Milford is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities AID to assist in planning and implementing engaging recreational activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will support the Activities Director in creating a vibrant and stimulating environment that promotes socialization, mental and physical well‑being, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in organizing and leading daily recreational and social activities for residents.
Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities to ensure participation and enjoyment.
Help set up and clean up activity areas and materials.
Monitor residents’ safety and well‑being during activities and report any concerns to the Activities Director or nursing staff.
Engage with residents to build positive relationships and foster a sense of community.
Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities as needed.
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care and programming.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in recreational activities, caregiving, or a related field preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with elderly or disabled individuals.
Reliable, patient, and compassionate demeanor.
Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents as needed during activities.
Basic computer skills are a plus.
Work Environment This position is based at Cranberry Park at Milford, a senior living community dedicated to providing a warm and supportive environment. The Activities AID will work closely with residents and staff in a dynamic and friendly setting.
