Recreation Aide Job Description
Performs and/or assists other recreation aides/assistants/specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities. Sets up recreational areas for scheduled activities and events. Assists customers in the sales store, selling a limited variety of items, including alcohol. Issues and checks in boats/life vests/recreational equipment; checks condition before issue and after return. Completes required forms, including daily activity reports. Answers questions concerning activities/uses of the park. Checks visitors to ensure only authorized users are in the park. Monitors park to ensure that visitors are following proper rules/guidelines for safe/proper use of park and facilities. Contacts appropriate agencies/authorities in emergencies. Performs custodial duties as need. Performs other related duties as assigned.
