Summary:
As an Activities Director at AdviniaCare Newburyport, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that meet the physical, cognitive, social, and recreational needs of our residents. This is a temporary position, lasting between 12-25 weeks, and requires a strong background in running group activities, booking entertainers, and overseeing activity staff.
Responsibilities
Develop programming to meet individual physical, cognitive, social, and recreational needs
Oversee activity schedule and ensure seamless execution
Manage activity staff and supervise their work
Attend morning report and care plan meeting to stay informed and contribute to resident care
Design and implement activities that cater to the cultural and spiritual needs of our residents
Develop engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred
Long Term Care Certification preferred
Two years of long-term care experience preferred
