Full Job Description Overview The Technical Designer I role is an entry‑level position intended for recent graduates or individuals with up to 3 years of experience. This role focuses on developing strong technical and production skills while supporting the delivery of high‑quality construction documents across a variety of project types. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly motivated, and eager to learn how buildings come together. This position works directly with Project Managers, Job Captains, and senior staff to assist in the production and coordination of architectural drawings. The role is structured to provide mentorship, hands‑on experience, and a clear path for growth within the firm. Prior internship experience in an architecture or related field is preferred.
Essential Duties and Characteristics
Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
Support the development and coordination of drawing sets across all project phases.
Utilize Revit to produce accurate and well‑organized models and drawings.
Assist in coordinating with consultant drawings including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
Assist in performing basic building code research and applying findings to project documentation.
Maintain project file organization and adhere to company graphic standards.
Review redlines provided by project managers and job captains and implement redline revisions accurately and efficiently into the drawing sets.
Participate in internal coordination meetings and contribute to team discussions.
Communicate proactively with team members regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program, or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of professional experience.
Prior internship experience preferred.
Proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Suite is a plus.
Basic understanding of building materials, systems, and construction methods.
Familiarity with building codes is a plus.
Skills

Ability to work in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow professionally.

Job Type Full‑time, 40 hours per week, in‑office/in‑person.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive compensation package with generous benefits.
Pay range:
$56,160 – $62,400 , based on experience.

We set healthy boundaries of no work outside the hours of 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays and no work on weekends. Please note this also means that your desired schedule must fit within the boundaries of 7 am‑7 pm on weekdays only.
