• OK State statutes,

• Oklahoma Tax Commission rules, and

Provide customer service and guidance to all taxpayers and tax professionals in person, telephonically, and via electronic correspondence regarding filings, audits, and the appeal processes for business personal property.Read and analyze incoming correspondence, submissions, and reports.Accurately input data to prepare, adjust, approve, and review assessments as allowed by state statute.Prepare and assist with Formal/Informal business personal property appeals at

Board of Equalization.

Audit non-filers and other businesses identified for review.Perform other duties as assigned, and train co-workers.Work may be required outside normal business hours.**REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES**Interpret and apply the rules, regulations, policies and procedures that relate to the Assessor’s Office.Analyze financial and accounting data, and draw logical conclusions, process details with an analytical mindset.Speak and write effectively, establish and maintain cooperative relations with the public and other employees.Apply accounting and auditing techniques to practical field problems, and maintain documentation.Research, plan, organize, and make timely decisions to meet project and task deadlines.Work independently, and in a team environment with tact, support, and cooperation.Ability to defend values before Board of Equalization and assist in District Court.Assist in all phases and functions of the office.# # Additional Job Description**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**Bachelor’s degree **(preferred)** in Accounting, Business Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science, or other closely related field;**OR** any combination of training and significant successful experience in accounting or property appraisal.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.**REQUIRED MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and apply to practical situations. Ability to understand and apply basic accounting concepts.**REQUIRED LANGUAGE SKILLS**Ability to read and analyze procedures, and government regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

Ability to effectively present information with clarity, and clearly respond to questions from groups, managers, coworkers, and taxpayers.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**Employee is regularly required to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, or reach; frequently required to move about independently, and drive independently, to speak clearly and listen.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS**Valid Oklahoma Driver’s LicenseMust provide own transportation and liability insurance, mileage is reimbursed.Upon hire, attain Certificate of Advanced Accreditation as provided in Title 68 O.S. §2816**WORK ENVIRONMENT**The duties of this position are primarily in-office, but include in-field. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. The employee is occasionally exposed to the outside weather conditions, and infrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, loud noises, and the use of personal protective equipment.**BENEFITS PROVIDED, AND OFFERED**The full time (FT) incumbent will be eligible for the full package of Tulsa County and Assessor Office Benefits according to existing eligibility schedules, beginning the first of the month following one month continuous full-time service, to include:
