Role Overview
We are looking for a high-level operator to step into a Director of Operations role and take ownership of the day-to-day execution of a growing, multi-faceted real estate business. This is not an assistant role—this is our “foundational hire” — the aim is to hire one quality person we can build an operations department around. Once this role is up and running, the team owner plans to begin hiring additional sales agents which this role will support.
Who are we? Jackson Malcolm Homes is comprised of four Real-Estate-Centric businesses:
Jackson Malcolm Homes Team (Primary Function): A Real Estate Agent Team at Keller Williams Greater Downtown which helps clients buy and sell homes. The majority of time in this role will be spent on this business.
Scenic City Acquisitions LLC & JM Homes LLC: Two Real Estate Investment companies, currently holding 27 total units, focused on acquiring investment property, building new construction homes, and other real estate ventures.
Scenic Funding LLC: A boutique private lending business focused on lending to real estate investors.
Who are we looking for?

Comfortable speaking to clients and providing excellent client experience.
Creative-Problem Solver: When confronted with a problem, doesn’t say “I can’t do this.”; But instead says “How can I do this?”. Exhausts all possible avenues to solve a problem before asking the team owner for help.
Past Experience in Real Estate, Sales, or Transactional Work is preferred
Aspects of the Role
Primary Function - Operations Director of Real Estate Sales Team:
Responsible for running daily operations of sales business & ownership of all active home sale transactions. Primary POC for all clients, coordination of all transaction paperwork & deadlines, communication with co-op agents, title companies, lenders, etc.
The primary expectation is ownership of your area of the business. You are expected to own oversight of all items related to active transactions, and delegate high-level tasks to the Team Owner when necessary; not the owner overseeing the transactions and delegating tasks to you.
Assist with implementation of marketing systems (mailers, social media, events, past client follow up)
Real Estate Investment Businesses (JM Homes LLC, Scenic City Acquisitions LLC, Scenic Funding LLC): Run daily operations of investment businesses spanning rental holdings, private lending, & new construction. Assist with administrative tasks & oversight of 3rd party vendors (bookkeepers, PMs, etc).
Owner Support Function: Assist owner in personal tasks such as tax prep, home management, scheduling of appointments, etc.

Skills Needed / Able to Be Quickly Acquired
Attain a working knowledge of the home-sale process (transaction checklist/flow, contracts, etc)
Ability to get real estate license within 4-6 months (if not already licensed)
Attain a working knowledge of rental asset management, property acquisition, & private lending
Gain proficiency in tech used by the business: Google workspace, DocuSign, KW Command CRM

Total Target Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000+
Base Salary: $38,000 – $45,000 (based on experience and demonstrated capability)
Performance Bonuses: The role includes additional compensation through performance-based bonuses tied to your success in transaction management, operational ownership, and team growth.
Additional Earning Opportunities: While not a requirement for the role, there is an optional opportunity to earn additional income by referring business to the team. If you naturally come across buyers, sellers, or investors through your network, you will have the ability to participate in the revenue generated from those transactions.
