Position Overview
This Associate Consultant role supports our family wealth or institutional consulting team in serving retirement plans, foundations, endowments, corporate and family wealth clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, eagerness to learn, exceptional attention to detail, and a client-service mindset.

Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management
Assist in serving institutional or family wealth clients by supporting regular client communication and meeting preparation.
Support the development of investment recommendations by gathering data and conducting analysis.
Assist in presenting investment strategies, performance analysis, and market commentary in client meetings and reports.
Learn to identify client needs and opportunities through ongoing client interaction.
Client Service & Support
Help prepare client deliverables including quarterly reports, investment policy statements, fee analyses, and benchmarking studies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated workflows.
Participate in client meetings alongside consultants.
Process & Systems Management
Manage content systems including CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and knowledge of reporting tools and other business development software platforms.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of client interactions, decisions, and recommendations.
Business Development Support
Assist Highland's business development team in the growth and acquisition of new institutional and family wealth clients.
Write, proofread, and edit proposals, RFP responses, and marketing materials as needed.
Contribute to the development of thought leadership content and marketing collateral.
Track and report on business development metrics to evaluate effectiveness of activities and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in investment consulting, wealth management, financial services, or related field (internship experience welcome).
Foundational knowledge and experience in institutional investment management and retirement plan consulting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self‑motivated with ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
Professional demeanor and eagerness to develop client service skills.
