Fort Rucker, AL . The
Frequency Manager
will oversee the planning, coordination, and compliance of radio frequency spectrum usage to ensure reliable, interference‑free communications across military and emergency service operations. This role plays a vital part in enabling secure and uninterrupted communications directly supporting national security and operational readiness.
Responsibilities for the Frequency Manager include:
Managing and coordinating frequency assignments and allocations in compliance with national and international regulations
Coordinating spectrum usage with military, civil, and emergency service stakeholders
Monitoring spectrum usage to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve interference issues
Developing and implementing spectrum plans to support operational, tactical, and strategic communications
Supporting spectrum coordination for exercises, special events, and emergency situations
Required Qualifications for the Frequency Manager include:
3–5 years of experience in spectrum management, radio communications, or frequency planning
Experience using spectrum management tools and databases such as SPECTRUM XXI, PR-200, or Spectrum Guard Pro
Strong understanding of RF propagation, signal behavior, and radio communications equipment
Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field
Active Secret clearance
Certifications Required:
IAT Level II certification (one of the following): Security+ CE, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP, or CCNA‑Security
Spectrum XXI Certification, completion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager (25E) Course, or equivalent experience
Compensation for the Frequency Manager include:
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000,
depending on experience
