Executive Director – Behavioral Health
We are hiring an Executive Director for Cornell Behavioral Health. Cornell Behavioral Health offers a full continuum of care—including intensive outpatient counseling, partial hospitalization, inpatient services, crisis stabilization, and assessments—across an 82‑bed, state‑of‑the‑art facility that welcomes patients of all ages.
The role will serve as the behavioral health safety‑net provider in Sarasota County and will:
Lead operational and fiscal responsibilities across the health system
Serve as a role model and guide a multidisciplinary team
Build strong internal and community partnerships
Make a direct impact on patient care and outcomes
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant health‑care management discipline
Seven (7) years of progressive management experience and/or facility administration
Preferred Qualifications
Certification by a relevant program or professional organization (e.g., Association of Mental Health Administrators)
Demonstrated organizational and time‑management skills to maximize productivity and outcomes
Ability to provide leadership and mentoring by guiding individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting performance standards, and delivering quality services
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to handle difficult situations diplomatically
