Short Description The Director of Patient Access Transformation is a specialized leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, performance optimization, and technology utilization across all patient access operations. This role will serve as the expert in analytics, process improvement, performance measurement, and technology optimization for patient access functions. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical leader who leverages data insights and proven techniques to continuously improve operations, maximize technology investments, and enhance patient experience through measurable, sustainable improvements.
Experience Required 10+ years required of healthcare operations experience with 5+ years of hands‑on experience leading process improvement or performance improvement initiatives
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree preferred
License/Certification Requirements Relevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Project Management Professional (PMP) highly desirable preferred
Special Requirements
Expert-level knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies with proven ability to apply these frameworks in healthcare settings
Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis, and analytical problem-solving; ability to work with complex datasets and conduct sophisticated analyses
Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI or similar analytics platforms; ability to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports
Working knowledge of patient access workflows (registration, scheduling, insurance verification, etc.); familiarity with healthcare IT systems including Epic
Expertise in KPI development, balanced scorecard design, benchmarking, and performance management frameworks
Strong project management capabilities with experience using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches; PMP or similar certification preferred
Understanding of system implementations and integrations; ability to communicate effectively and translate technical concepts for operational audiences
