NOW HIRING AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY FOREMAN TO START WORKING IMMEDIATELY in El Paso, TX Apply to join an experienced construction team focused on underground utilities. The role requires supervising crews that install water lines, storm drains, sanitary sewer lines, and dry conduits in various projects such as highways, commercial sites, street improvements, wastewater and water projects. Experience with TXDOT or other DOT work and deep excavation is preferred.
Position Description The Underground Utility Foreman will supervise crews responsible for installing wet and dry utilities in multiple settings, including water lines, storm drains, sanitary sewer lines, and dry conduits. Responsibilities include:
Read, understand, interpret, and enforce safety policies and practices.
Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of the structure.
Lay out floor‑plan/worksite as needed.
Determine sequence of activities for fabrication, assembly, and erection of the structure.
Assign workers to tasks.
Inspect work performed by subordinates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Study production schedules and estimate worker‑hour requirements for job completion.
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality to increase efficiency of the work crew.
Analyze and resolve work problems; assist workers in solving work problems; and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintain time and production records.
Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job, including a basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes.
Position Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience with underground utility installation.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a foreman over a crew.
Experience installing storm sewer/RCP, water line, and sanitary sewer preferred.
OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Flexible availability to include overtime and weekends.
Having a crew to come with is a plus.
