Director of Accounting – Hospitality and Gaming Randstad is seeking a

Director of Accounting

to join a dynamic hospitality and gaming department. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Accounting, you will serve as a critical leader ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and accurate financial reporting across all gaming revenue streams. This is a pivotal role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment. While this position has no direct reports, you will act as a lead to the Senior Director, assisting in the high‑level management and oversight of all gaming accounting departments.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 + 25% Bonus

Job Type: Permanent

Work Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Experience: 8 years, including 2+ years in a leadership role within Casino Gaming

Responsibilities

Lead the month‑end and year‑end closing processes across all revenue streams, ensuring every figure aligns with GAAP and internal policies.

Rigorously review balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and accounting schedules to maintain absolute data integrity.

Serve as a key financial advisor to senior leadership, using data‑driven insights to guide business decisions and company goals.

Oversee the recruitment and professional growth of the finance team, fostering a culture centered on accountability and high service standards.

Translate broad corporate strategies into concrete, measurable action plans for the accounting department.

Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is precise and findings are resolved promptly.

Guarantee strict adherence to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Title 31 regulations.

Manage the preparation and submission of sensitive filings, including SARCs, license fees and gaming‑specific tax documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.

2+ years in a leadership role within a Casino Gaming environment is required.

In‑depth knowledge of MICS, Title 31, and GAAP.

Exceptional analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in casino accounting practices, gaming‑specific regulatory frameworks, and Department of Revenue (DOR) reporting requirements.

Deep expertise in managing complex gaming ledgers, ensuring strict adherence to compliance mandates.
