Grow your career with a rapidly growing company that invests in its people and their ability to drive real progress.****Job Duties:*** Manage and develop underwriting team responsible for the South Central Region* Build a well-balanced and profitable portfolio of Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products* Oversee the Underwriting, rating, and servicing of new and renewal submissions* Ensure that underwriting files are of consistent quality and cover all relevant issues* Facilitate marketing / client plan for the region* Meet regularly with assigned Financial Lines brokers; Identify and establish new relationships with FL brokers; Success to be measured by submission/quote/bind metrics compared to prior periods of the team* Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable**Requirements:**Bachelor's Degree or equivalent5+ years of experience managing a Financial Lines book of businessDetail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracyAbility to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficientlyAbility to lead a team in a group environmentProven track record of success with Texas insurance marketplaceProfessional demeanor in verbal and written communicationsStarr is an equal opportunity employer, which means we'll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
