The Opportunity TECKpert is seeking a Senior Maximo Application Consultant to support our client, a public agency in South Florida. This role will focus on advanced IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.1 configuration, workflow redesign, mobile application development, and knowledge transfer to internal staff.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience with MAS 9.x implementation and configuration, including workflow design, Start Center development, security group administration, and mobile capabilities. This is a short-term engagement supporting backlog items across workflow automation, notification configuration, material management, and mobile technician features.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Design and implement advanced workflow configurations including role-based workflows, site-specific workflows, subprocess nodes, and cost-threshold-based approval routing
Develop and configure mobile applications leveraging MAS 9.1 mobile capabilities for field technician use cases
Configure Email Listener functionality for automated communication and notification processing
Implement and configure the new administrator and super-user security group models introduced with MAS 9.1
Build and modify Start Center portlets for role-based work queues including inventory usage, approvals, and work order management
Develop and configure communication templates for automated notifications tied to workflow events such as approvals, completions, emergency routing, and material arrival
Support work order planning, scheduling, and funding workflow automation including cost threshold validation, GL code updates, and approval chain routing
Implement material fulfillment validation logic tied to work order funding and approval status
Provide hands‑on knowledge transfer to internal staff throughout the engagement
Review completed work in the development environment with client stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Estimate effort and duration for backlog items and validate implementation approaches
Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full‑time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $70/hour / $145,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications A successful candidate has the following experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 7 years of experience with IBM Maximo, including hands‑on experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing Maximo workflows, including role‑based routing and approval chains
Minimum 3 years of experience developing or configuring mobile applications within the Maximo Application Suite platform
Minimum 5 years of experience with Maximo Start Center and portlet configuration
Experience configuring Maximo Email Listener and communication templates
Strong understanding of Maximo security models, including MAS 9.x admin and super‑user security groups
Experience with BIRT reporting within Maximo
Demonstrated ability to conduct knowledge transfer and train internal technical staff
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
IBM Maximo certifications
Experience working in government, public sector, or K-12 education environments
Experience with Maximo Application Suite deployment on Red Hat OpenShift or cloud environments
Familiarity with facilities management, work order lifecycle, and maintenance operations
Experience with inventory and material management workflows in Maximo
