About the Role
At Merchants Automotive Group, the Vehicle Processing Specialist plays a key role in delivering a best‑in‑class experience for our clients. This position is responsible for managing the reconditioning and readiness of vehicles for both internal departments and external customers.
Location Merchants Auto ‑ Hooksett, NH This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
What You’ll Do
Manage the availability of fleet vehicles both on‑site and off‑site
Oversee vehicle preparation, including body work authorization, reconditioning, safety compliance, and documentation
Utilize DSM (Rapid Recon) inventory systems to maintain accurate and visible records across the organization
Handle administrative tasks for internal teams and external vendors, including purchase orders and timely invoice processing
Track and manage vehicle requests throughout the processing workflow
Identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
Collaborate with external vendors to improve workflow and operational efficiency
Make timely decisions, including process adjustments when needed, to ensure vehicles are processed without delay
Support department operations with additional duties as needed
What You Bring
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or operations‑focused role
Comfortable working outdoors year‑round
Strong customer service mindset with a professional communication style
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
High energy and a proactive approach to work
Team‑oriented with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively
Sound judgment and decision‑making skills
Strong problem‑solving abilities in both independent and team settings
Requirements
Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and an acceptable driving record at time of hire.
Must continue to keep a satisfactory driving record, as determined by Merchants, and remain eligible to be insured by the company’s vehicle insurance carrier. Employee must cooperate in completing any required authorizations or paperwork for regular motor vehicle checks.
