Field Service Representative Responsibilities As our Field Service Representative you will perform the Store Fulfillment and Merchandising Process at designated stores, including merchandising, stocking products, and completing the final store visit wrap‑up. You will follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, work methods, cleanliness, and merchandising standards. You will manage store inventory levels using our Vendor‑Managed Inventory (VMI) program to meet company standards.

Provide a safe and consistent shopping experience for the end consumer.

Drive in‑store sales by maintaining inventory levels, product placement, and merchandising standards.

Ensure a positive customer and consumer experience through relationships, partnership building, and product knowledge.

Inspect fixtures, signage, marketing collateral, and pricing sets to validate standards; make replacements in‑store and report deficiencies to on‑site contacts and District Manager.

Who You Are

High School diploma or GED.

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

2+ years of inventory replenishment experience in a retail/building materials industry (preferred but not required).

Knowledge of inventory management procedures and systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with Metrie leadership, store management, staff, and customers.

Self‑starter who works efficiently and independently while collaborating with a remote team.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying of millwork products up to 50 lbs.

Occasional pushing or pulling of drywall carts weighing 50–2000 lbs.

Frequent reaching to various levels and directions to inspect and handle products.

Occasional use of hand tools such as power drills, impact guns, and power saws.

Dexterity for complex hand‑eye tasks, typing for order entry, and accurate pricing.

Continuous standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and occasional kneeling.

Read written and electronic documents and product labels.

Continuously hear and verbally communicate to interact with management, customers, and team members.

Exposed to material handling equipment such as forklifts and drywall carts.

Use of personal protective equipment and safety equipment, including work at height.

Compliance with all relevant safety requirements.

Additional Travel Requirements

Daily travel to and from assigned home center stores. Mileage is reimbursed.
