Sales Consultant
Responsibilities
Establish personal goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise strategies to meet those goals.
Maintain product knowledge of new and pre‑owned inventory; understand the vehicle features and describe their benefits to customers.
Demonstrate automobiles by explaining the characteristics, capabilities, and features; participate in test drives, compare competitive models, and explain warranties and services.
Prospect and follow up daily with potential customers and maintain rapport with previous customers.
Learn to overcome objections, ask for the sale, negotiate the sale, complete lease and purchase agreements, and explain warranties, services and other dealership products.
Follow dealership safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as an automotive salesperson, with a proven history.
Finance experience is a plus.
Confidence in your ability to be successful.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic.
Great attitude with high‑energy personality.
Superior customer service skills.
A desire to work in a commission, performance‑based environment.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Must be able to pass a background test.

Motor vehicle record (MVR) review
