Overview
Sales Consultant – USBL – US. Locations include Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Broussard, Louisiana.
Job Summary Outside sales position responsible for promoting Sysco products and services and building relationships with new and existing accounts.
Responsibilities
Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
Research customer business needs and develop product/service mix to meet needs.
Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers.
Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with credit department.
Manage deliveries to routing schedule, troubleshoot order process issues.
Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events.
Attend and participate in sales and district meetings.
Engage in ongoing training sessions.
Assist with training new employees as requested.
Review and analyze sales reports and data.
Perform administrative duties such as preparing budgets, processing credits, and filing reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline, OR HSD/GED and 3 years restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience.
Preferred: Bi‑Lingual, Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, Chef Experience.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and required automobile insurance.
Submit to pre‑employment testing (drug screen, background check) and sign protective covenant.
Willing to reside or relocate to territory.
Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills.
Ability to read, write, speak English.
