Job Summary
Sales Associate (Sales Consultant) at La‑Z‑Boy, responsible for selling high‑end furniture and services, providing premium customer service, and achieving store sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Guide high‑end clients through a premium sales experience.
Create inspired spaces with world‑class furniture and décor.
Curate luxury looks while earning commissions with no ceiling.
Interact with customers professionally to deliver the highest level of customer service.
Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals and selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner.
Attend and participate in company training and store meetings.
Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling skills.
Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
Follow company procedures and policies, including policies against harassment, attendance, sales policies, and customer interaction.
Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes.
Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards.
Compensation
Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission).
Post‑training Base Pay: $45,864 per year (against commission).
Commission: Uncapped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, subject to meeting specific sales goals.

High School diploma or GED
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence customers.
Vocational or technical training in related field of study.
Experience in sales or retail – luxury experience is a major plus.
Polished, persuasive, and endlessly ambitious.
Passionate about modern aesthetics and premium materials.
Obsessed with detail, service, and delivering the wow factor.
Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with computer technology.
Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes.
Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
