Vice President, Public Relations

Location: Portland, OR

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel to C‑suite executives as a trusted advisor, helping clients reach and exceed their goals
  • Be part of a collaborative and highly skilled team, working with local and national B2B, finance and enterprise clients with an emphasis on corporate communications
  • Work on integrated marketing and communication campaigns that reward out‑of‑the‑box thinking

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of agency experience and the ability to efficiently lead multiple clients simultaneously; proficiency in strategic communications for clients in financial or professional services industries is not required but is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of client service, including development of PR/integrated communication strategies and plans; media pitching; content development; digital, influencer and social media campaigns; project and team management; reporting and budget management
  • Successfully developed and implemented impactful, brand‑building programs and campaigns spanning traditional and new media, social media, influencer, and digital platforms
  • Proven success in corporate, employee and executive communications with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in media and spokesperson training, crisis planning and management
  • Passion for mentoring and helping junior team members grow
  • Creativity, ingenuity, and an initiative‑taking attitude
  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, business, communications, marketing, journalism, English, or related field

Candidates must be able to work from the Portland, Oregon office at least three days per week.
