Position: Key Account Manager Location: Italy - North West (Field-based) Employment: Full-time
Are you a relationship-driven field professional with a strong understanding of hematology and the Italian hospital landscape? Oncopeptides is seeking a driven and adaptable Key Account Manager to strengthen our presence across key Italian regions. In this pivotal role, you will build meaningful partnerships with hematologists, hospital pharmacists, and healthcare decision-makers, supporting access to our innovative therapy while ensuring that patient and customer needs are met through compliant, high-quality engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve or exceed sales targets and regional performance goals in alignment with Oncopeptides’ brand strategy.
Identify, analyze, and act on market trends and opportunities to support business growth.
Build and execute strategic business plans tailored to account-specific value drivers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with hematologists, hospital pharmacists, procurement stakeholders, and other key decision-makers.
Support market access initiatives in collaboration with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and the Commercial Director.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and internal teams to address customer and patient needs.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of CRM databases, business plans, and key opinion leader (KOL) lists.
Maintain up-to-date expertise in clinical data, disease state, and account management.
Understand and navigate hospital procurement, contracting, and tender processes.
Ensure all activities are executed compliantly within a regulated environment.
Qualifications
MSc in Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Hematology experience required; multiple myeloma experience preferred.
Proven track record in competitive onco-hematology markets.
Strong understanding of hematology practices, patient pathways, and market access.
Demonstrated success in sales, with experience in commercial models and product launches.
Established network of hematologists, pharmacists, and key decision-makers.
Skilled in keeping accurate account documentation
Excellent analytical, strategic, negotiation, and communication skills.
Solid organizational and relationship-building abilities.
Demonstrated integrity and compliance in regulated environments.
Native Italian speaker with intermediate English skills
