Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Client Account Manager is to develop, implement and manage the Civilian Agency Account in order to grow future business and services. This role serves as the Business Development Lead for assigned Civilian Agencies, identifying, developing, and leading strategic pursuits.
Responsibilities
Deliver oral and written presentations and lead client interface on strategic projects or in resolving technical and/or performance related problems.
Develop and maintain positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business.
Determine teaming, resource, and execution requirements to support client programs and upcoming opportunities.
Monitor resource allocation to maximize effective program management.
Develop new approaches to advance techniques, tools, and program management to meet client needs and achieve sales objectives.
Advocate and encourage lessons‑learned exchange and technology transfer within business units.
Monitor performance of program managers on client programs within business units.
Offer mentoring and encouragement to individual team members to maintain unity, harmony, and overall efficiency.
Lead production of proposals, SOQs, and other marketing and promotion materials to build practice.
Potentially lead negotiations of fee offers, scopes of work, and contracts of work.
Lead program team and facilitate communication, intelligence sharing, and interaction between organization and client.
Act as project manager on strategic projects or in resolving technical and/or performance related problems.
Update and maintain body of knowledge related to training, degree or job responsibilities.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as directed by company needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, and 10+ years of related experience.
PE license, PMP certification, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred.
Ability to work well within a team environment, with a positive attitude, multi‑tasking ability, and self‑motivation.
Ability to advocate for resources within a matrixed organization and lead a multidisciplinary team without direct supervisory authority.
Demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
Strong desire and ability to learn and grow professionally; must have the technical aptitude to understand Pond’s services and technical expertise.
Experience writing proposals, change orders, and reviewing contractual terms preferred.
Experience meeting P&L targets preferred.
Experience in executive communications; the Client Manager will keep internal and external stakeholders updated on project status, health, and risks.
Proven track record of meeting sales quotas preferred.
Good understanding of project management techniques for scope, schedule, and budget management preferred.
Travel is required approximately 30% of the time.
Hybrid/remote work is possible, but will require additional travel to Pond offices to coordinate with internal teams.
