The Grand America Hotel Salt Lake City, UT 84111, USA Description We are seeking a dynamic Director of Performance Marketing to lead guest acquisition and revenue growth across the Grand America Hotels and Resorts portfolio. In partnership with property leadership, this role will own enterprise-wide performance strategy spanning paid media, performance marketing, SEO/SEM/AIO content, OTA optimization, and emerging digital channels, with a focus on driving hotel bookings and ski product sales. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in destination-based hospitality, including the seasonal nature of mountain resort businesses, customer contact strategy aligned to booking trends, and the ability to engage guests across multiple touchpoints from inspiration through purchase. This is a collaborative leadership role that sits at the intersection of corporate strategy and property-level execution. The Director will work closely with the Marketing Technology team, on-property marketing teams, and Creative Team in Salt Lake City to align campaigns, budgets, and channel mix with portfolio-wide revenue goals, while identifying and sharing best practices across properties. Success requires the ability to turn performance data into actionable strategy, champion personalization, and enable marketing teams across the portfolio to operate with speed and precision. Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): Cross-Portfolio Partnership: Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to collaborate effectively with MarTech, property marketing teams, GAHR leadership, and agency partners to ensure alignment on campaign performance and direction. Competitive Intelligence & Market Understanding: Maintain a current understanding of the hospitality and mountain resort landscape, including guest personas, booking behaviors, and competitive positioning. Translate market insights into actionable recommendations that sharpen demand generation strategy. Strategic Planning & Annual Roadmap: Develop and own the annual performance strategy for the portfolio. Define goals, prioritize tactics, allocate budgets, and establish KPIs that align with revenue objectives and the seasonal nature of hotel and ski resort businesses. Lead Generation & Customer Contact Strategy: Drive guest acquisition through paid media, SEO/SEM/AIO, OTA optimization, and content planning. Own the customer contact strategy to deliver the right message at the right stage of the booking journey. Direct Booking & Channel Optimization: Focus on direct booking growth across the portfolio while optimizing OTA performance across the portfolio. Identify opportunities to lower cost of acquisition, and strengthen guest relationships through owned channels. Content & Campaign Performance: Analyze performance across channels and translate data into clear insights and optimizations for property teams and senior leadership. Champion a culture of testing and continuous improvement. Budget Management & Revenue Accountability: Own paid media budgets and partner across the portfolio on annual planning, forecasting, and performance reporting. Maintain clear visibility for performance contribution to portfolio revenue goals. Marketing Technology & Data: Partner with the GAHR MarTech team to ensure portfolio is set up with the right tools, attribution frameworks, and data infrastructure. Leverage CRM and audience segmentation to improve personalization across the guest journey. Loyalty & Repeat Guest Strategy: Partner with MarTech to develop re-engagement strategies that align with media and drive repeat visitation and deepen guest loyalty across hotels and ski properties. Activate high-value guest segments through targeted, personalized campaigns in partnership with property teams. Team Leadership: Lead and develop direct reports within a matrixed structure across properties and GAHR teams. Serve as a subject matter expert while fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture that drives portfolio results. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 8+ years of marketing experience, with a demonstrated track record of driving results in portfolio environment. Strong cross-functional collaborator with experience working across internal teams, property-level marketing partners, and external agencies to align strategy and deliver results. Proven experience leading and developing marketing teams, including managing direct reports and collaborating effectively within matrixed organizational structures. Experience overseeing paid media strategy across multiple channels, with the ability to evaluate performance, guide agency partners, and optimize channel mix at a portfolio level. Experience managing marketing budgets, including annual planning, forecasting, and reporting on contribution to revenue goals.
