Seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist for our Peter Glenn retail store. While the primary duties will be back room related, this position must also be able to provide customer service on the retail sales floor. Responsibilities: Maintain a receiving log on all incoming shipments Document any damages, refuse severely damaged or wet boxes and file UPS claims when necessary Compare deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders Assist with inventory management by following SOPs and investigate discrepancies Obtain return authorization from vendor for returns when needed Create debit memos as required Print bar code tickets for merchandise and attach to product Package & ship merchandise including store transfers as well as customer orders Scan all paperwork to accounting in a timely manner Requirements
Retail experience required Candidates must be computer literate Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Experience with shipping software preferred Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task Must have a customer-oriented attitude Able to be on your feet for 8+ hours a day and lift up to 20-50lbs Possible other physical demands talking, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, carrying, climbing, and more Education: High School Diploma or GED Benefits: Benefits include a fun team environment and competitive pay.
