Summary: Duties include building and assembling lighting fixtures and hanging fixtures in a safe manner, on time and with the highest quality. Job Duties: Analyzes and resolves work problems. Completes jobs/projects on time, under budget, and at 100% quality. Demonstrates attention to detail. Ability to measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material as guides for subsequent machining. Ability to operate the following: Saw, router, sander, clamps, shop tools, forklift, etc. Ability to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on work benches. Review and understand blueprints, drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Use quality tools to verify conformance of material to specifications. Fits and assembles parts into a completed assembly, as required. Inspects product prior to cutting for blemishes or non-conformities. Support and follow all safety procedures and company policies. Ensures that all protective equipment (guards, PPE, etc.) is used at each step of the job. The work area is maintained at a high state of cleanliness. Job Qualifications: Ability to meet deadlines and provide quality workmanship. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, email). Read and understand detailed work instructions Lighting or electrical background is a plus.
