Position Overview The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for potential clients seeking assistance with Social Security Disability benefits. This role is responsible for conducting initial screenings, gathering detailed information, and determining eligibility for representation. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Answer inbound calls, online inquiries, and follow-up with prospective clients in a timely manner
Conduct thorough intake interviews to gather medical, work history, and claim-related information
Evaluate potential cases based on firm criteria and Social Security Disability guidelines
Accurately enter and maintain client data in the case management system
Clearly explain the intake process, next steps, and required documentation to clients
Schedule consultations or case sign-ups with attorneys or representatives
Maintain consistent communication with prospective clients throughout the onboarding process
Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with privacy standards
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly intake and conversion goals
Qualifications
Prior experience in a law firm, call center, or client intake role preferred
Knowledge of Social Security Disability (SSD/SSI) processes is a plus
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage high call volume and multitask effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software
High level of empathy and professionalism when working with vulnerable populations
