Admissions Representative The Admissions Representative is a dedicated individual with a heart for helping others achieve their life goals. This role guides school applicants through the application and admission process, helping them assess their skills, education, and career objectives to choose the right educational path. As a primary point of contact, you will provide prospective students with essential information on registration, program selection, and academic requirements while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
This is a high‑energy role that requires a blend of sales‑minded persistence and empathetic guidance. You will interact with a diverse population through phone calls, web inquiries, and in‑person campus visits. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator, able to adapt to a fast‑paced environment, and committed to the college’s philosophy of providing quality services to our community.
Salary Range Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Manages inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity, utilizing approved recruitment policies and formats.
Conducts high‑volume phone outreach to secure weekly appointments and interviews with prospective students.
Schedules and conducts interviews (in‑person or via campus tours) to evaluate applicant qualifications and career goal compatibility.
Secures Personally Developed Leads (PDLs) by directly asking contacts for referrals to expand the college’s reach.
Accurately portrays programs, expected outcomes, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
Maintains consistent follow‑up with all applicants at least monthly to ensure successful matriculation and resolve any hurdles.
Utilizes virtual communication tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) to engage with applicants and conduct remote sessions.
Records and manages data within the institutional database to track applicant statuses and forecast new student enrollment for the Director of Admissions.
Participates in recruitment events such as open houses, high school visits, college fairs, orientation programs, and career days.
Collaborates across departments to assist with data collection and problem‑solving to improve the student experience.
Adheres to all state and federal regulations, accreditation rules, and internal policies regarding student recruitment.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate prospective students.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse populations, faculty, and staff.
Goal‑oriented and highly ethical approach to recruitment and sales.
Superior organizational and problem‑resolution skills to manage a high volume of leads and deadlines.
Technological proficiency with MS Office, CRM reporting systems, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams).
Active listening skills to understand customer needs and respond positively to requests.
Ability to adapt to changing assignments, multiple priorities, and a fast‑paced work environment.
Education & Experience Education or Training
Associate’s degree (Preferred).
Experience in college admissions or higher education (Preferred).
Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years of admissions recruitment or non‑durable goods sales experience (Required).
Proven track record of meeting performance goals or outreach quotas.
Experience with database management and lead tracking.
Other Requirements
High ethical standards in accordance with state and federal accreditation and Institute policies.
Flexible schedule to accommodate recruitment events, open houses, and evening follow‑ups as needed.
Reliable internet and computer literacy for virtual recruitment activities.
