Insurance Customer Service Representative - FT - Chatsworth

Overview
The Insurance Customer Service Representative – Fulltime – Chatsworth is located in our Chatsworth Corporate offices. The role provides service to Premier America members for insurance products offered by the credit union and supports the success and growth of the Insurance Services Department.
Responsibilities
Provide service to members who are insurance policyholders, ensuring department procedures are followed and goals are achieved.
Maintain a complete understanding of the insurance products offered; educate members on their value and issue new policies on the platform of all appointed carriers.
Perform policy reviews and policy rewrites to offer the best solution for members and the credit union.
Use carrier and credit union underwriting guidelines to complete policy endorsements and cross-sell other suitable products.
Conduct every member interaction following the Property Insurance Department procedures, standards, and playbook.
Manage member service transactions including policy changes, inquiries, payments, quotes, and endorsements.
Complete all tasks in the daily suspense queue by end of the workday.
Document all interactions with members and insurance prospects in the CMS agency management system and set suspense for follow up.
Qualifications
Previous experience with and thorough understanding of the insurance products sold and related industry terminology.
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license, clear of judgments, in the states where the credit union conducts business.
Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions.
Knowledge of credit union products and services.
Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles.
Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
Excellent sales abilities with solid presentation skills.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and follow-through skills.
Good problem-solving abilities and ability to work well independently.
Pay and Benefits The base pay range for this position is: $23.83-29.79 per hour.
