Physical Therapy Assistant
Schedule: Day Shift Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Associate degree required PT Assistant License required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred Roles & Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Implement therapeutic procedures, following established protocols and the therapist's plan of care. Engage residents and caregivers in the therapeutic process and modify treatment as necessary. Document all interactions and therapy sessions in accordance with departmental procedures. Educate residents and caregivers on treatment plans and assistive devices. Assist in developing new rehabilitation programs and services. Compliance / Notes: Must maintain required licenses, certifications, and competencies. Must comply with infection control procedures.
