This position is based 100% in-person in River North, Chicago. There is absolutely no remote work option.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just take great photos — they know what to do with them. You understand the full picture: the capture, the edit, the caption, the timing, and why it all matters. You have a natural eye for the moment and a real feel for what makes people stop scrolling. No degree required. No agency experience required. This is your foot in the door.
You're Our Person If You
Live on Instagram and TikTok and genuinely understand what performs
Have a portfolio — even if it's just your own account
Can capture AND edit AND post — start to finish
Are comfortable behind a phone or camera in a fast-moving environment
Are hungry to grow beyond content into the strategy side of social media
Responsibilities
Capture photo and video content at live events throughout Chicagoland
Edit and produce content ready for posting
Create and post content across Instagram and TikTok
Maintain a consistent look, feel, and voice across platforms
Assist with scheduling, captions, and community engagement
Support the broader marketing team as campaigns and projects grow
Qualifications
No formal experience required — show us your content and your eye
Active presence on Instagram and/or TikTok
Able to shoot, edit, and post independently from start to finish
Basic photo and video editing skills on mobile or desktop
Ability to work on-site at events on a flexible schedule throughout Chicagoland
Familiarity with Meta platforms a plus
Compensation Hourly Rate: $20 per hour The hourly rate for this position is fixed at $20 per hour.
Benefits This is a seasonal, project-based position. The following are provided for this role:
Flexible scheduling based on event calendar
Paid sick leave in accordance with Illinois law
