Clinical Technician (Respiratory Equipment)

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Training: Hands-on training with management for approximately one month Position Overview A full-service home medical equipment provider is seeking a Clinical Technician ("ClinTech") to support Respiratory Therapists (RTs) with respiratory equipment setup in hospitals, assisted living facilities, and eventually in patient homes. This role involves a combination of on-site equipment setups and in-branch customer service responsibilities. The technician will use a company vehicle for all travel, typically no more than 12 hours on travel days. Travel frequency varies depending on patient and hospital equipment needs. Key Responsibilities Work alongside Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory equipment. Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use and care of CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen equipment, nebulizers, and other respiratory devices. Set up equipment in hospitals, assisted living facilities, and eventually in patient homes. Explain equipment functionality and patients' financial responsibilities. Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly (delivery tickets, safety checklists, instruction receipts, cleaning forms, etc.). Customer Service (In-Branch CSR Duties) Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, caregivers, and referral sources. Process information received from referrals: verify accuracy, create orders, schedule equipment delivery. Respond to calls and emails promptly and according to performance goals. Route calls appropriately and follow up as needed. Understand the end-to-end front-office process to ensure a smooth patient experience. Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to learn medical equipment functions and computer systems Analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with new technologies Works well independently and within a team Flexible, adaptable, patient, proactive, and accountable in a fast-changing environment Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of related experience in: Healthcare administrative support Insurance, billing, or claims Customer service or call center Medical office or similar environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coon Rapids, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
