One to two years of mortgage servicing Experience with front-end mortgage servicing functions preferred Familiarity with mortgage regulations and servicing requirements FICS Mortgage Servicer experience a plus Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Strong interpersonal skills requiring courtesy, tact, and professionalism The Mortgage Servicing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of the credit union's mortgage loan portfolio. This includes posting monthly mortgage payments, disbursing escrow items such as taxes and insurance, assisting with annual escrow analysis, processing payoffs, and responding to member inquiries. This role ensures mortgage loans are serviced in compliance with regulatory requirements, credit union policies, and secondary market standards. The Mortgage Servicing Specialist partners closely with internal departments to support accurate loan boarding, lien releases, reporting, and ongoing servicing maintenance. Ensure accurate and compliant servicing of all mortgage loans. Support members with clear explanations of mortgage servicing activities. Protect credit union assets through timely processing and documentation. Maintain escrow accuracy and timely disbursement of taxes and insurance.
