Patrolling parks and recreation areas to enforce rules and maintain public safety. Enforcing compliance with ordinances through public contact, education, and citations when needed. Preparing reports and maintaining incident, activity, and evidence records. Community Activation Assistant
Provide essential onsite support for park activation programs, recreation activities, and community events. Support recreation programs, activations, and events by assisting with setup, breakdown, and basic operations. Monitor program areas to help ensure participant safety and appropriate use of park facilities. Park Activation Lead Specialist
Assists with daily operations, supports staff coordination, and serves as a point of contact during assigned shifts. Provide direction, support, and on-the-job training to Park Hosts. Serve as an on-site resource for participants, partners, and City staff. Senior Park Activation Lead
Lead and oversee park activation programs, events, and special initiatives. Train and supervise Park Hosts and Shift Leads during assigned programs. Ensure compliance with City policies, permits, and safety requirements. Additional Expectation: This position is responsible for managing the transportation and logistics of mobile recreation equipment and assigned staff, including driving City vehicles as required. Seasonal Event Host
Provide onsite support during festivals, concerts, community gatherings, neighborhood activations, and specialized programs; serve as a liaison between event organizers and City departments (e.g., Parks & Recreation, Public Works, Public Safety); and act as a resource to promoters, vendors, and attendees regarding public facilities, programs, and services. Monitor event sites and program areas to ensure promoter compliance with City requirements and approved permits, including maintaining safety, cleanliness, organization, and appropriate use of facilities. Age: 18 Education: High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized training in the protection of parks or public recreation areas Experience: Two years of experience in security, event management, or protection of a park or public recreation area Licenses: Valid driver's license required Preferred: Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid within six months of hire Community Activation Assistant
Age: 16 Experience: Customer service, recreation, or volunteer experience preferred Certifications: CPR/First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain Park Activation Lead Specialist
Age: 18 Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: One year of experience in recreation programs, events, or customer service Licenses: Valid driver's license required Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid preferred Senior Park Activation Lead
