Permit Expediting & Code Compliance Company: 1Contractor Solutions Location: Florida-based (Tampa Bay preferred; remote + in-field statewide) Territory: Florida (team expansion statewide) Travel: 23 days/week (meetings, job sites, events) About the Business
1Contractor Solutions provides permit expediting and compliance services that help contractors reduce delays, protect margin, and keep projects moving. We act as a reliable back-office/project coordination partner across Florida municipalities. Important: We are not hiring for "construction sales" (selling construction projects). This role sells permitting & compliance services to contractors and builders. What You'll Sell
Permit expediting (residential + commercial) Municipality registrations Code compliance coordination Code-violation resolution and retroactive permits/permit corrections (as applicable) Compliance project management across jurisdictions Cross-referrals into related contractor services as relevant (engineering/private provider support, licensing/insurance/business services) The Role
We're hiring a relationship-driven seller to open doors with contractor owners and operations leaders, diagnose permitting bottlenecks, and close service engagements quickly. This is a high-activity, field-forward role with strong upside. Role scope: This is initially a hands-on individual contributor role (hunter/closer). As the sales team grows across Florida, there is a clear path into Sales Manager / Team Lead responsibilities. Who You'll Sell To
General contractors, commercial contractors, and high-volume residential builders Owners, ops leaders, project executives, permitting coordinators Referral partners: subs, architects, engineers, property managers, inspectors Responsibilities
Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, relationships, referrals, site visits, and events Run discovery, quantify time/cost impact of permitting delays, and propose solutions Close project-based and recurring service agreements Partner with Ops to ensure strong handoff and delivery Maintain CRM hygiene, forecasting, and follow-up cadence Represent the company professionally at expos, association meetings, and industry events Growth track: after traction, help expand coverage (Tampa/Jacksonville/etc.) and potentially hire/coach additional reps. Must-Haves
7+ years of B2B sales experience selling services into contractors/GCs (not retail/B2C) Proven success selling high-trust services (compliance, permitting, insurance, software, staffing, inspection/project services, engineering support) Demonstrated ability to sell to owners/ops leaders and close meaningful monthly/project revenue Comfortable with high activity: calls, site visits, events, partnerships Strongly Preferred Existing Florida contractor/GC relationships and ability to leverage them immediately Experience with municipal permitting / expediting / compliance workflows Compensation
$75,000 draw + uncapped commissions (plan details shared in interview) We're flexible for the right candidate with relationships and proven performance. Benefits / Expenses
