Support mission-critical cybersecurity operations for the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS) by defending systems and ensuring continuity in high-responsibility environments.

What You Will Do
You will support cybersecurity operations within a Security Operations Center environment by:
Monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity alerts and incidents in real time Investigating security events using logs, tool outputs, and intelligence sources Analyzing threats using advanced tools to identify patterns and attacker intent Responding to incidents and working to prevent recurrence through root cause analysis Supporting recovery efforts by assessing impact and restoring affected systems Following escalation processes and coordinating with team members to resolve issues quickly Preparing reports and documentation to communicate findings and actions taken Recommending improvements to strengthen security posture and operational effectiveness Collaborating with team members to mitigate threats and maintain continuous operations Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance High School Diploma or GED DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification CSSP Analyst certification Experience supporting DoD information systems Ability to support 24/7 operations through a shift-based schedule Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification Experience with DoD STIGs, SRGs, and system hardening guidance Familiarity with ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment What's In It for You
