Library Director – Riverdale Public Library The Riverdale Public Library, located in Morris County in northern New Jersey, serves a small but library-loving community of 4,000. An engaged Board of Trustees actively supports the Director. A thriving Friends group provides ongoing supplemental financial support. Responsibilities Provide advice to Library Board of Trustees on policy, finances, planning, library performance, and library laws Hire and supervise staff Prepare and manage library budget Manage library services and programs Identify and implement outreach services to the community Manage and maintain the library building, computer technology, and the library’s automation system Represent the library in the community and promote its services Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify opportunities and effect change Requirements NJ State Librarian Certification, strongly preferred Five years related library experience MLS or Library School Required: Strongly preferred Salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience The Riverdale Public Library is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an “at will” employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
