Responsibilities Aggressively cover live breaking news and weather
Generate enterprise and exclusive stories
Create compelling content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms daily
Seek out diverse perspectives and include those voices in stories
Be a leader in the newsroom by actively engaging in the editorial process
Develop a strong network of sources in the community
Participate in community events on behalf of the station
Qualifications A degree in journalism or a related field is preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience as an on‑air reporter or MMJ; 7 years preferred
Medium/ large market experience preferred
Outstanding writing skills
Energetic, compelling live presence
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
Scheduling flexibility required
Must provide a link to recent examples of reporting, including live breaking news, packages, and digital content
